LifeWorks - You Can Help

As if running a half marathon or 5K were not challenging enough…Are you willing to take a few more steps and help ZOOMA Austin's charity partner - LifeWorks?

Every 10 minutes a teenager in Texas becomes pregnant.  As a result, many of these young women become homeless, stop their education and experience severe hardships. LifeWorks is addressing this critical issue in our community by providing a safe shelter program, educational opportunities, and parenting and life skills classes to help ensure success for these youth and reduce subsequent pregnancies.  

LifeWorks is recruiting 250 individuals to fundraise $100 each to help us meet this critical need.  If you are up to the challenge, please click below to set up your campaign.  A young woman and her newborn will be forever grateful!

About LifeWorks

Picture a homeless young mom with two children, an abused teen who ran away from home, adults who cannot read stories to their children because of limited literacy skills and a deaf teen who aged out of the foster care system and was forced to survive on the streets. These are just a few of the people served by LifeWorks – a nonprofit that provides a comprehensive safety net of support for more than 10,000 Austin families each year.

Funds raised by ZOOMA Austin will support LifeWorks single mothers' shelter. A portion of every entry fee for ZOOMA Austin goes directly to LifeWorks.
